Co-create Spaces Workshop at Streets for People

Co-create Spaces Workshop at Streets for People

The creative juices were flowing at the Streets for People event in Christchurch on Sunday 1 October. It was great to see so many people out and the streets alive with activity.

As an organisation, we are experimenting with ways in which we can co-create with people, rather than designing for people. So, as part of this event, we encouraged people to re-imagine and co-create parts of the city with us. We hooked up the Arki_lab CoCityApp to a projector, which allowed people to add elements (plants, buildings, people, etc.) to photos of existing sites on a tablet. We also encouraged collage making: add things you would like to see in your city to photos of urban spaces.

What do you think of the results?
