Plant Exchange

Plant Exchange

“Bring a plant, take a plant”. If you have a plant that you don’t need or need to make space in your garden, bring those them to the Exchange and swap them for ones that might be better suited to your needs.

The simple idea behind the Plant Exchange is “bring a plant, take a plant”. If you have a plant that you don’t need or need to make space in your garden, bring those them to the Exchange and swap them for ones that might be better suited to your needs. The Exchange was originally located on the Piko Wholefoods site and was inspired by the Gap Filler book fridge on the opposite corner. Plant tables were made from donated pallets and the dividers from recycled fence palings retrieved by the Student Volunteer Army from the residential Red Zone.

After moving The Plant Exchange to the Commons the project was decommisioned in May 2017.  The flooring was re-used as a stage in another project.
