Kua Hua Ake Te Ao

The project symbolizes hope and new beginnings for this neighbourhood. Created by voluntary effort sourced from the local community, Kua Hua Ake Te Ao cafe and garden will continue to be run and maintained by volunteers.

GtR was asked to design and build this garden with volunteer help from the local Linwood community. The garden is adjacent to Kua Hua Ake Te Ao cafe, which was also created by the community of Linwood to enable them to meet, treat themselves and enjoy a little beauty and serenity in their day.
